I love when the sky is gray. When the dawn paints the roofs of the buildings and the sun is still hiding. The city is ours then. Right before everyone takes over, right when everyone is still sleeping. It’s hard to notice that it’s so cold when it’s this pretty.
A curtain of stars, miles of them, are scattered, glowing, across the sky and their multitude humbles me, which I have a hard time tolerating. She shrugs and nods after I say something about forms of anxiety. It's as if her mind is having a hard time communicating with her mouth, as if she is searching for a rational analysis of who I am, which is, of course, an impossibility: there is no key.

Last weekend I went to the Taking Back Sunday concert @ the Orbit room and it was amazing. I wondered if you were there, but didn't see you at all. wow, talk about amazing stage presence They played 2 songs from their upcoming album, which were so great, and what I considered to be a nice spread of songs from all their albums
but they didn't play Timberwolves at New Jersey which slightly pissed me off.
oh well.
Red Jumpsuit apparatus opened for them. I don't know many of their songs but they definitely knew how to warm a crowd up. I might just go buy their CD now because of how awesome they were on stage.
anyways, I just thought I'd share the excitement.

Every silence is composed of nothing but unspoken words. Perhaps that is why I became a musician. Someone had to express this silence, make it render up all the sadness it contained, make it sing as it were. Someone had to use not words, which are always too precise not to be cruel, but simply music.
I think I was just fed up with the image that had been created around me, which I sometimes consciously, most of the time unconsciously cooperated with. It just got too much for me to really stomach and so I put an end to it one glorious evening.
Because he has been a major part of your life, of course you'll miss him; it's perfectly normal. It's like getting a tooth pulled out; after the dentist pulls it out you're relieved. But how many times does your tongue run itself over the spot where the tooth once was? Probably a hundred times a day. Just because it wasn't hurting you does not mean you don't notice it. It leaves a gap, & sometimes you see yourself missing it terribly. It's going to take awhile, but it takes time. Should you have kept the tooth? No, because it was causing you pain. Pulling the tooth was the right decision, but it's going to hurt.
You've left me with such a silent world. The evenings are calm but I'm restless, and my breath has become as thin as the wind. Not even the mighty sky can fill the space you left behind, not even when it rains.
